I mix it all at once and then decant into 1L and 500ml bottles. I can buy 6.55L worth of working solution developer for about $14 (note, you need starter). The bleach and fix last a long time with very good shelf life, so the only big concern is the developer. Kodak LORR chemicals though rather than Fuji. This is basically how I use C-41 chemicals now.

Now that I've got it all tabulated and graphed, the next step is to actually make that blog post and/or video on the subject that I've wanted to make for a while now. It's amazing how long this stuff actually lasts, if you store it correctly, despite the fact that the conservative instructions only claim 6 weeks at best.īeing able to actually collect data on all this, over the course of the past year, has been really satisfying. So tomorrow I'm going to use the rest of it to process a bunch of film. It's still good! The numbers also don't vary from my last few strips by much more than the reasonable margin of error for my equipment. I just processed a control strip with the last liter of a Fuji C-41 X-Press (5L) kit that I opened and mixed almost exactly a year ago.
